管理科学与工程专业博士（1995；西安交通大学）；计算机科学与技术专业硕士、学士（1989，1986；西安交通大学）。

现任西安交通大学管理学院教授、博士生导师。教育部“新世纪优秀人才培养计划”入选者（2005）。兼任国际信息系统协会中国分会（CNAIS）常务理事，中国系统工程学会理事会常务理事、青年工作委员会秘书长，中国系统工程学会决策科学分会理事，中国管理研究国际学会（IACMR）会员等。

担任学术刊物《系统工程理论与实践》编委，学术刊物Information and Management和Enterprise Information Systems编委。

目前的研究兴趣有：管理信息系统与电子商务、信息技术与决策行为、决策支持系统等。

研究成果先后发表在Communications of the ACM, Information and Management, Expert Systems, Annals of Operations Research, Decision Support Systems, Electronic Government, Quarterly Journal of Electronic Commerce, Lecture Notes in Computer Sciences, Journal of Global Optimization等学术刊物上。
