杰弗里·弗兰克尔

　　杰弗里•弗兰克尔（Jeffrey A. Frankel），1952年出生于美国旧金山，1978年从麻省理工学院获得经济学博士学位。他是哈佛大学肯尼迪学院资本积累和增长讲席教授。他还是美国国家经济研究局国际金融和宏观经济学研究项目的负责人，也是经济周期评定委员会的成员，2001年美国经济衰退的结论就是由这一委员会正式确定的。弗兰克尔教授曾任美国克林顿政府时期总统经济顾问，主管国际经济学、宏观经济学和环境问题的研究。在1999年进入哈佛大学任教以前，他曾任加州大学伯克利分校的经济学教授。他还在众多研究机构担任职位，包括美国联邦储备委员会、国际经济研究所、国际货币基金组织、密歇根大学和耶鲁大学。他的研究兴趣包括国际金融、货币政策、区域集团和国际环境问题。弗兰克尔教授曾主编了著名的《美国90年代的经济政策》一书，他参与写作的《国际贸易与收支》一书也广为美国大学教学所采用。近年来，弗兰克尔教授关注中国和其他发展中国家的汇率问题，并发表了一系列有真知灼见的文章。
