2010年路透推测诺贝尔经济学将得主:
阿尔贝托·阿莱西纳,1957年出生于意大利,是哈佛大学Nathaniel Ropes政治经济学教授。1986年阿尔贝托·阿莱西纳在哈佛大学取得博士学位,2003--2006年任哈佛大学经济系主任。他同时还是美国经济研究局和经济政策研究中心的成员。他也计量经济学会的会员和是美国科学与艺术学院的院士。他是政治经济学领域的先锋和领导者,他的文章见于经济学领域的重要学术刊物。其专著5本,参与主编过若干著作。他最近的两本书是由麻省理工大学出版社出版的《欧洲的未来:改革与衰退》和由牛津大学出版社出版发行的《在美国与欧洲反贫困:不同的世界》。他做了8年的《经济学季刊》编辑,另外还是一些学术期刊的副主编。他还为那些在世界范围内有影响力的报纸撰写专栏,访问过包括麻省理工大学、特拉维夫大学、斯德哥尔摩大学、世界银行和国际货币基金组织。
研究领域
他的工作涵盖了经济学研究的诸多议题:政治商业周期、财政政策和预算赤字的政治经济学、欧盟一体化进程、高通胀国家的稳定政策、国家的规模、货币联盟、分配政策的政治经济学、欧洲和美国的福利差异等待。除此之外,还包括欧洲和美国在经济制度上存在着巨大的差异,可替代的选举制度在经济政策的效应,不通不通选举制度的检测。
